Bihar: Tension between As Is & To Be.
My Caveat: This hopes to be a view from from a very rural geography of South Bihar. I spent my early childhood and much of my growing up years in a village in present day Nalanda District and also in a village in Gaya District. Both the villages were four miles off the nearest state highway and the connecting roads were either kutcha (mud) or were terribly maintained. And four decades later, getting past the age of sixty years, I have again been entrenched in the village in Gaya District alluded to above. Hence I call my blog Sanaut Diaries as my village base is in the old revenue district that was once the Pargana Sanaut.
